Long Term Treatment

At Rising Roads, we recognize that long-term treatment is essential for women to achieve lasting recovery from mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or both. Our comprehensive treatment programs provide a continuum of care that includes inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services to ensure that women have the support and resources they need to maintain their recovery.

How Long Do Women Stay at Rising Roads?

Women typically begin their treatment journey with inpatient care, where they receive intensive therapy and support in a safe and structured environment. As they progress through their treatment, they may transition to outpatient care, which provides greater flexibility and allows them to continue their recovery while also attending work or school. Aftercare services, such as support groups and ongoing therapy, provide ongoing support and guidance as women navigate their new life in recovery.

The Benefits of Long-Term Treatment

By providing flexible treatment programs that includes inpatient, outpatient, and aftercare services, women have ample time to use and benefit from the tools and support we provide to build a new life in recovery. In a month-long program, women are stabilized and introduced to recovery concepts and understand underlying causes of behavioral disorders.
A three-month treatment program gives women the opportunity to address the underlying causes, practice tools they’re provided in evidence-based therapies and get to experience their new lives with background support and guidance before being fully independent again. They develop healthy coping mechanisms and life skills that can help them maintain their recovery long-term.
Designed to help women build on the progress they made during their initial phase of treatment, our long-term programming provides:

Relapse prevention:  Women learn strategies and skills to help them identify and manage triggers and prevent relapse.
Continued therapy:  Ongoing therapy helps women address everyday triggers and situations that arise as they’re interacting with the world. Faced with hardships where women weigh using old behaviors versus their new tools, women use their tools and process those experiences with therapists and peers.
Support groups:  Support groups provide a safe and supportive environment where women can connect with others who have shared experiences and build a sense of community.
Life skills:  Women learn practical skills to help them navigate their new life in recovery, such as job skills, financial management, and time management.
Healthy coping mechanisms:  Women learn healthy ways to cope with stress and emotional pain, such as peer support, exercise, meditation, or creative expression.
Family and relationship support:  Women receive support and guidance in rebuilding relationships with family, friends and developing and practicing healthy communication skills.
Self-care:  Women learn the importance of self-care and develop healthy habits that support their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
