Because we know these issues affect women differently, we founded Rising Roads to offer programming and therapies that encourage and inspire women to make new connections and learn from each other. More than 80% of our staff, including our founder/executive director, are women.
In most households and businesses, women take on a disproportionate amount of the unpaid labor. This excessive burden adds undue stress and can make you feel unheard and unappreciated. Often, women instinctively know how to help each other work through their emotional issues, providing essential companionship.
Many women are also compassionate listeners and natural nurturers. The many roles we play – as moms, wives, sisters, daughters and professionals – give us the shared experiences to facilitate healing and lift each other up. Surrounding yourself with women who have faced similar challenges will give you a built-in group of people who support your success.
